Blue Turns by John Toki was created 20 years before it was placed in downtown Davis at 216 F Street. The sculpture was designed to create a circulating energy and his inspiration was abstract art. He lives in the San Francisco Bay and the colors influenced the artwork. The scale is important as it has a commanding the attention of the viewer. This is the 3rd time it has been exhibited publicly in over 20 years. It was shown previously at a the Berkeley Art Center for a group exhibition and at the Paradise Ridge Sculpture Garden in Santa Rosa.
